*Franchise Naming Conventions and Standards
All teams in the U-League are franchises with an official name chosen by their current Owner. Ownership of a U-League franchise, as well as a franchise's official name, may change over time. Records listed herein which are "all-time" or "appearance" records are noted using the current, official, name of the franchise, notwithstanding any changes in ownership which may have taken place over time.
Single season and single game records listed herein that were set by a franchise that was under different ownership at the time the record was set are listed using the franchise's last official name prior to the change in ownership of the franchise.
If the name of a franchise is officially changed without a corresponding change in ownership, the new franchise name is retroactively applied to all references of that franchise herein and in all league communications, as if the new franchise name had always been the franchise's name during its existence under its current ownership.
For historical reference, the following franchises have undergone ownership changes:
-Carolina Banthas competed under the name Slackjawed Gobemouche under different ownership from 2011-2012.
-Inter Standard competed under the name Team Skeetbox under different ownership from 2011-2024.
